  • Aerial Mosquito Spraying

We have been advised by the Department of Agricultural Resources that given the increased levels of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE) detected this year from state-wide mosquito surveys, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources announced that an aerial pesticide application will be taking place. This aimed at reducing mosquito populations to limit the incidence and spread of EEE infection.  This application is scheduled to begin tonight (9/10/19) in Worcester, Middlesex and Norfolk counties

For more information, you can read the Consumer Information Bulletin here, the Notice to Schools here, and the School Notification page here.

Please be reassured that the District continues to closely monitor this health concern.
