Mrs. Gloria Pierce - School Adjustment Counselor

Hello from your new School Adjustment Counselor! My name is Gloria Pierce, and I am thrilled to be the new part-time counselor at Boylston Elementary School! I am here to  help your child to learn skills, grow, and have fun while doing it. I cannot wait to get to know you, your family, and most importantly your child!

First, I wanted to take a moment to tell you a few things about me. I am originally from Red Hook, NY in the Hudson Valley. I attended Smith College in Northampton where I graduated in 2001 with my Bachelor’s Degree. After working for a little while as a Counselor I realized how passionate I was about the work and returned for a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Boston College with a focus on working with children in 2005. Since then I have earned my license as a Mental Health Counselor as well as a School Adjustment Counselor/School Social Worker. I’ve recently been working as a Counselor at Gardner Public Schools and through Community Healthlink in the Leominster area with a focus on working with children ages 0-5 years for the last several years. I married in 2003 to my husband Mike and decided to settle in MA after going to college. I really feel like Massachusetts is my home now after having lived here for half my life with my family of four. Together we have two girls, Isabel and Sophia, with two dogs, two guinea pigs, and a few backyard chickens. I love to spend time outdoors being active.
