Ms. Samantha (Sam) Fantana
Hello! I am excited to be at BES for my second year. I provide services to students in the general education classrooms, through 504 accommodation plans, as well as through Special Education. My work involves direct student intervention, teacher and parent consultation, collaboration with outside service providers, and support of building-wide interventions. My goal is to help support the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all BES students.
A bit about my professional background...I completed my B.A. in Psychology at Clark University in nearby Worcester and then my M.A. and Ed.S. in School Psychology at Tufts University. I hold my MA Department of Education license to practice School Psychology as well as my National Certificate of School Psychology. Following completion of my graduate studies, I worked in Ohio at a virtual academy for three years as both a school psychologist and team chair person. Upon moving back to Massachusetts, I spent three amazing years working at a nearby collaborative as a program clinician for students with social, emotional, and behavioral disorders. When the geography of my job changed, causing an unmanageable commute, I excitedly accepted my current position at BES in 2017. I have experience working with students from preschool through transition-age.
