Hello Parents & Guardians,

Happy New Year! Let's start 2022 as healthy as we possibly can! It is important that you do not send your children to school if they are experiencing any cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms:

* fever (100 degrees F or greater)
* chills
* cough
* trouble breathing/shortness of breath
* sore throat
* runny or stuffy nose
* muscle or body aches
* headache
* stomachache
* fatigue (very tired)
* vomiting or
* diarrhea

Please have your child remain at home until 24 hours after their fever is gone, without using fever-reducing medications like Tylenol or Motrin.  Remember, some children with the flu will not have a fever.

Please keep your children home if they are symptomatic and utilize the free Covid PCR Testing Sites within our community to determine if your child has COVID.  Rapid Antigen testing is also available at most pharmacies, when in stock. Even if your child tests negative for Covid, you should still keep them home if they aren't feeling well enough to be in school. The stomach bug, flu, strep, and other seasonal viruses are still going around right now. Please have your child remain at home until 24 hours after their fever is gone, without using fever-reducing medications like Tylenol or Motrin. If your child is ill, and you inform me, I will ensure that their absence is excused. I would rather you keep your child home than risk getting others sick because you're afraid their absence won't be excused. Let's work together to keep our students, staff, and community safe and healthy!

Please be sure to visit our District Health Services page for other helpful information. You can find the link under the administrative tab on the district's main page- District Health Services

My goal is to team with you to ensure your child’s health and safety while they are at school.  Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance.  Here’s to a great school year!

Regards,

Courtney Lamb
