BA Assumption College MEd Lesley College

Mrs. Amy Donahoe

I began teaching at Berlin Memorial School as a Fourth Grade Teacher in 1998.  I moved to Third Grade in 2010.  In 2017 I packed up my room and moved down stairs to become a Second Grade teacher.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree from Assumption College with a Psychology major, Social and Rehabilitative Services minor and concentration in Elementary Education.  I then attended Lesley College to attain my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Specialization in the Creative Arts.

While I have been teaching at BMS I have served on various committees helping to write curriculum and mentor new teachers.  I also served as the BMS Garden Coordinator.  I attended the district Garden Committee meetings learning how to work in our garden, trained teachers to use the garden and brought fresh produce to our school and the Berlin Food Pantry.  I also have served as a member of the PBIS team here at BMS.  Through this committee I worked  with a team of teachers to create a positive learning environment for the students and teachers of our school.

I have many different hobbies and activities I enjoy out side of school.  I love to go for walks and runs with my family and friends.  I also enjoy drawing, quilting, sewing and crafting with my children.  Swimming in the pool or at the ocean is my favorite way to cool off in the summer.  I also love to cook and bake, trying out new recipes for my family to enjoy!
