Ms. Carol L. Costello

It is a pleasure to welcome you to our website and to the Department of Teaching & Learning.  I began my career as a classroom teacher in grades 1, 4, and 6, before serving as an elementary assistant principal, principal, and now in my current role as Director of Curriculum & Grants.  This position affords me the flexibility to work with all grades levels, PreK-12, staff members, administrators, parents, and the community at large to build upon the strengths of our school system and expand our possibilities.

The Director of Curriculum & Grants is responsible for overseeing the implementation of curriculum, arranging professional development, working with administrators and staff on new and ongoing initiatives, writing both public and private grants, and partnering with higher education.  It is an honor and pleasure to serve the Berlin-Boylston Public Schools and members of the community in this fourth year of service.  Our team continues to move forward and expand the possibilities for our students and staff.

As Director of Curriculum & Grants, I am more than happy to assist you with any questions you have regarding Teaching and Learning in the Berlin-Boylston Public Schools.  Please do not hesitate to contact me at: or by phone: 508-869-2837 ext. 1111.

  • 2nd Annual Parent Camp is set for June 4, 2020, 5:00-6:30 p.m.!

Moving from 5th to 6th grade can be a challenging transition, with many questions about what to expect when students get to middle school. We’re excited to offer you a chance, as a parent, to find out more about what middle school is all about at this short program called Parent Camp.

Don’t be fooled, 5th graders! Parent Camp is for you, too!

While your parents are learning more about what they can do to help and support you at home, you’ll be learning some ways to start the year off strong by becoming familiar with school routines, expectations, and coursework.

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to PARENT CAMP!
