Dear Families,

Welcome to kindergarten at BES! I am excited to begin my 22nd year teaching kindergarten at Boylston Elementary and even more excited to be your child's teacher! I am looking forward to getting to know all of my new students and families as we begin this new school year.

I would like to tell you a little about myself professionally and personally. This will be my 24th year teaching kindergarten and 22nd year here at BES. It has been my absolute favorite grade to teach and I feel fortunate that I have been able to continue teaching at this level. I have my Masters in Early Childhood Education and since my degree I have continued to take graduate courses in education. I enjoy continuing to learn and add strategies to my teaching since educational practices are continuing to evolve.

On a personal note, I am married and I have 2 children. My daughter, Maya, is 13 and she is in 8th grade. My son, Max, is 9 and he is in 4th grade. My husband's name is Carlos and he is a Chemical Engineer. When I am not at school I am spending time with my family camping, on the soccer fields, watching movies, or playing games.

In addition to emails and notes in daily folders, I will also have a Bloomz page. I will send you an invite to join and I will post info and pictures here to let you know what we have been up to each week.
